Photo jobs for HR
By Sekora Studios · Updated
A staff photo that should be 600 by 600 goes through the passport photo cropper, after you check the badge vendor's size. A screenshot with a salary, address, or ID number goes through Redact image: you draw the black boxes. Before you forward a personal photo, open Remove metadata so GPS and camera details are gone. Do those in that order if you need more than one.
Steps
- Check the size the badge or form actually wants.
- For a square 600 by 600 photo, open the passport photo cropper and frame the face.
- For a screenshot, open Redact image and cover every private detail, including the edges.
- Open Remove metadata on the file you plan to send, then download the cleaned copy.
- Send the download. Keep the original in a folder you do not attach.
Boxes and blur
Redact image paints solid black over the boxes you draw. Blur a face softens a rectangle instead. Black is the safer choice for account numbers and addresses.
You place every box. The tool does not find names for you.
What metadata removal changes
It removes hidden tags such as GPS, camera, and dates from a still JPG, PNG, or WebP file. The picture itself stays. Cover anything you can still see.
More questions
Does redaction upload the screenshot?
No. Redaction and metadata removal run in the browser.
Is 600 by 600 always right for a badge?
Only when the vendor asked for that. Otherwise resize to their width and height.
