How to use this tool

Changes the pixel width and height of an image in your browser without requiring a server upload.

  1. 1Select an image from your device.
  2. 2Enter a width and height, choose how the image should fit, and choose PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
  3. 3Resize the image, check the exact output dimensions and proportions, and download it.

Best for

Exact pixel requirements, smaller or larger display dimensions, square images, portrait graphics, and widescreen images.

Privacy

Your image is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to us. Read our privacy policy

When an upload also has a file-size limit

Correct pixel dimensions do not guarantee a small enough file. Resize and download first, then compress the result if the destination also sets a KB limit. Inspect the final dimensions after compression because a very small target can reduce them.

Compress the resized image to a file-size limitUse a 50 KB compression target

Resize an image by width and height

Resizing changes the number of pixels in the output image. Enter the width and height you need, then choose whether to crop to fill, fit without cropping, or explicitly stretch the source. With Keep aspect ratio turned on, changing one dimension automatically recalculates the other from the original image proportions.

Limitations

  • Making a small image much larger cannot recreate detail that was not present in the source image.
  • Crop to fill removes edges, while Fit without cropping adds padding. Stretch is available only as an explicit choice when you want to change the image proportions.

Questions

How do I resize an image online?

Choose an image, enter the width and height you need, choose an output format, resize it, and download the result.

Can I resize an image to exact pixels?

Yes. Enter the width and height you need, or use a fixed preset for 1080 × 1920 or 1920 × 1080 pixels.

How do I resize an image without stretching it?

Choose Fit without cropping to keep the whole image with padding, or Crop to fill when the output should be filled without borders. Keeping the aspect ratio linked is also useful when you only need proportional dimensions.

What happens if I turn off aspect ratio?

Width and height can then be changed independently. Choose Crop to fill or Fit without cropping to avoid distortion; Stretch image is the explicit option for changing the visible proportions.

What is the difference between resizing and cropping?

Resizing changes pixel dimensions. Cropping removes content outside a selected area so you can choose which part of the image remains visible.

Is my image uploaded when I resize it?

No. The selected image is decoded, resized, and encoded locally in your browser.
