A browser alternative for compress, convert, and resize
By Sekora Studios · Updated
If you used TinyPNG to shrink a photo, open Compress image and pick a KB or MB target. If you used iloveimg.com to change JPG, PNG, or WebP, open Convert image. If you used it to change pixel size, open Resize image. Squoosh users can use Compress image the same way. Ordinary single-image work stays on your device.
Steps
- Open Compress image, choose the photo, and set the size you need.
- Open Convert image when the site or app wants a different format.
- Open Resize image when the instructions name a width and height.
- Download that file and upload it where you were going to upload the other site's result.
Batch and accounts
You can compress, resize, or convert several ordinary JPG, PNG, and WebP files in the batch tools. The first few eligible files are free. Extra successful files use credits.
HEIC batch conversion is billed per file. One HEIC photo can still be converted free on the single-file HEIC page.
Jobs that leave the device
Background removal and background blur upload the photo. Use those only when you want the subject cut out or the background softened. Compress, convert, and resize do not take that path.
More questions
Will the download have a watermark?
No. These downloads are the image you made.
What if I need Photoshop?
Keep Photoshop or Express for layers and brushes. Come back here for a smaller file, a format change, or a new size.
