How to put photos together
By Sekora Studios · Updated
If you have two pictures, open Combine images and place them side by side or one above the other. For a small grid, use Photo collage. If you want each photo on its own page, use Image to PDF. You do this in the browser. On a Mac you do not need Preview, and on Windows you do not need the Photos app.
Steps
- Decide what you want at the end: two photos on one image, a grid, or a PDF.
- For two photos, open Combine images, choose both files, and pick side by side or stacked.
- For a grid of 2 to 9 photos, open Photo collage and set the layout.
- For a document, open Image to PDF, add the photos in page order, and choose A4, Letter, or a page that matches the photo.
- Look at the preview, then download. Your original files stay where they are.
Which one to open
Combine images takes exactly two photos. Photo collage takes a small set and lays them in a grid. Image to PDF gives you one page per photo, up to 30.
None of these let you drag photos around a blank canvas. You pick a layout and the tool fills it.
On a Mac or a Windows PC
Open the site in Safari, Chrome, or Edge and choose the photos from your computer. Preview on a Mac and the Photos app on Windows are not involved.
If the two photos are different types, such as a PNG and a JPG, you pick the download format. A JPG download fills transparent areas.
More questions
Can I merge two PDF files here?
No. These tools work with photos. If you already have a PDF, turn the pages into images first, or start from the photos.
Do the photos get uploaded?
No. Combining, collage, and image-to-PDF run in your browser.
